For the usage as generic solution of vt100 terminals in
Logistics I modified the OpenSource text browser Lynx.
The idea is that the web server sends special markup codes
to customize lynx:
- Deactivate standard features of Lynx like history, favorites
- Standard keyboard mapping (like 'q') must be deactivated.
- Links must be availalbe via multiple hotkeys.
- Internal browser functionality (Quit, Back, etc.) are
customizable.
- Because the lynx browser runs on a terminal server with
up to hundreds instances the memory footprint will be
minimized through usage of shared libraries.
